About Us

Caswell County Beekeepers Association

A community of hobbyists, farmers, and naturalists united by a love of bees and a commitment to supporting pollinators in our region.

Our Mission

The Caswell County Beekeepers Association exists to promote the art and science of beekeeping throughout Caswell County and the surrounding region. We support beekeepers at every level — from those who have never opened a hive to those managing dozens of colonies — through education, mentorship, and community.

We also advocate for the health of honeybees and native pollinators in our local environment, working with farmers, landowners, and community organizations to protect forage, habitat, and reduce pesticide exposure.

What We Stand For

Education

We believe informed beekeepers make better decisions for their colonies and their communities. Learning never stops.

Community

Beekeeping is better together. We foster a welcoming, generous culture where experience is freely shared.

Stewardship

Healthy bees depend on healthy landscapes. We advocate for pollinators and the habitats they need to thrive.

Mentorship

Every new beekeeper deserves a guide. Our members give their time to help beginners find their footing.

Our History

The association was founded by a small group of Caswell County beekeepers who wanted a local home for the craft — a place to share knowledge, troubleshoot problems, and celebrate the seasons together. What began as informal gatherings has grown into an active organization with members across the county and beyond.

Over the years we have hosted hundreds of new beekeepers through our annual school, responded to swarm calls across the county, and built lasting relationships with local farmers and extension agents. We remain a volunteer-led, member-supported organization rooted in the community we serve.
